General Information

The renal panel is used to evaluate kidney (renal) function. Minerals, electrolytes, proteins, and glucose are measured. If the kidneys are not working properly, waste products can be found and accumulate in the blood which could cause damage to the body and be potentially life-threatening. There are a variety of conditions that can result in damage to the kidneys.
